Herb and Garlic Crusted Portobello Mushroom Burgers

These delicious Portobello mushroom burgers are coated with our Herb and Garlic chips to add a delicious, crunchy protein boost.   Vegetarian, gluten-free, and made with clean ingredients, these burgers are a delicious alterative to traditional meat patties.  The best part? They are super quick and easy to make. Perfect for your next summer BBQ!



Recipe makes 6 burgers


2 eggs

1 ½ tbsp milk or milk alternative of choice

2 bags of SimplyProtein Herb Chips

6 large Portobello mushrooms

Toppings of choice

6 gluten-free buns



  1. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems
  2. Place SimplyProtien chips in a food processor and blend until fine
  3. Beat together the two eggs and milk
  4. Coat each mushroom in the egg mixture
  5. Coat each mushroom evenly with the ground SimplyProtein chips
  6. BBQ the mushrooms on high for approx. 5 min or until crispy
  7. Add toppings of choice and enjoy!
